Privacy Policy

  1. Introduction. This Privacy Policy sets forth the policies and procedures of ScaleIP, Inc. ("ScaleIP") with regard to the collection, use, storage, and protection of personal data collected by or provided to ScaleIP through the use of the ScaleIP Data-as-a-service and software as a service ("SaaS") product.

  2. Information Collection and Use. ScaleIP collects personal data, including but not limited to, name, email address, and company information, when Customer creates an account with ScaleIP or uses the SaaS. ScaleIP may also collect other data, including but not limited to, the data provided by the customer to use the service and the data generated by the service usage. This data is used to provide the SaaS and to improve the service, including but not limited to, providing customized service, support, and billing.

  3. Third-Party Links. The service may contain links to other websites or services that are not operated by ScaleIP. ScaleIP is not responsible for the privacy practices of these websites or services and strongly recommend customers to read the privacy policies of each website or service they visit.

  4. Data Storage and Processing. ScaleIP stores data in the United States on servers operated by third-party service providers. The personal data provided to us will be processed according to the specific instructions provided by the customer, as well as for the purpose for which it was collected, including to comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

  5. Data Security. ScaleIP shall implement and maintain industry standard security measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

  6. Data Breaches. In the event of a data breach, ScaleIP shall notify the affected customers without undue delay and provide information on the nature of the breach, the personal data affected and the measures taken or proposed to be taken.

  7. Data Retention and Deletion. ScaleIP shall retain personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or as required by applicable law. Upon request, ScaleIP shall delete personal data in a manner consistent with applicable laws and regulations.

  8. Data Sharing and Export. ScaleIP shall not share personal data with third parties, except as required by law or as necessary to provide the SaaS. Customer is responsible for ensuring that any data shared or exported from the SaaS is done in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and agreements.

    a) User account data is stored with Amazon Web Services

    b) User emails are used to to send password reset emails with Mailgun.

    c) User emails and provider are used to allow users to send out email campaigns from their own email account with Nylas. To access this feature, users must grant ScaleIP and Nylas explicit permissions to send emails on their behalf. However, ScaleIP will never send emails beyond what the user chooses to send within the context of the ScaleIP application.

    d) User names, emails and session details are used within Segment and Mixpanel to monitor app useage.

    e) User sessions are captured with Hotjar to monitor app useage.

    f) User input inside the “IP Search” feature is processed using OpenAI models.

  9. Data Subject Rights. Customers have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of their personal data, as well as the right to data portability, objection, and not to be subject to automated decision-making. These rights can be exercised by contacting ScaleIP at admin@scaleip.com.

  10. Compliance. ScaleIP shall comply with applicable laws, including but not limited to, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

  11. Changes to Privacy Policy. ScaleIP reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. The continued use of the service after changes have been made shall be deemed acceptance of the new policy.

  12. Google API Services User Data Policy. ScaleIP use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
